Talk on Information security

The ISTE Student Chapter in association with Computer Science & Engineering department has organized a technical talk on the topic “Information Security” on 23 September 2015 for the student of Computer Science Engineering. The guest speaker was Prof. Dr. Atal Chaudhuri, Computer Science & Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal. Prof. DR. Atal Chaudhuri stressed on the following topics: Importance of
Information Security, about encryption and decryption algorithms, Cyber security, Risk management, Security controls etc. 52 students were participated very enthusiastically in this event. He was also covered, the need of information security in the areas like Business, Education, Hospital and media etc. Students were gained lot of knowledge and also cleared most of their doubts.
