Awareness program on Self-defense

Women Empowerment Cell of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management organized an awareness program on Self-defense for the PUC girl students of Innanje in the school premises on 17^th Feb 2018 at 3:00PM. Ms. Mamatha, student, ECE Dept., SMVITM was the resource person.

The main aim of the program was to bring awareness and teach basic self-defense skills to the girl students of rural region. Ms. Mamatha told the gathering the importance of self-defense. Later she illustrated simple techniques to manage such scenarios of attack and taught few warm exercises to stay fit. The students were interactive throughout the session. School management thanked the team headed by Dr. Lolita Priya Castelino as the program was great help for the girl students of the school.
