INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) in association with National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Rotaract club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal organized “International Women’s Day” on 08 March 2017 in the institute premises.

Ms. Geetha Waghle, Member of Udupi taluk Panchayath and active social worker was the chief guest of the inaugural function. In her inaugural address she spoke about the overall development of the women. She explained about how the women development is taking place in all fields. Dr. Radheshyam, HOD, Department of Civil Engineering was the president of the inaugural function. In his talk he said it’s so proud that women are excelling in many fields, a recent example would be in the launching of satellite women’s have showed their talents. NSS/YRC Coordinator, Shree Raksha Acharya and Faculty Coordinators, were present during the inaugural function.

Ms. Shreya invoked the blessings of almighty, Mr. Nagaraj Rao welcomed the gathering and Ms. Pavithra proposed vote of thanks. The program was compeered by Ms. Lavanya.
