The National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Rotaract Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, jointly organized a talk on “Drug addiction and Road Safety Awareness” on 28 August, 2018 in the institute premises.
Shri Halamurthi Rao, Circle Inspector, Kaup, was the chief resource person for the occasion. He guided the students by giving detailed information about how drug addiction will spoils one’s life, also he has narrated various sections under IPC related to manufacturing, selling, purchasing and using narcotics. He also spoke about the fundamental rights and duties of every Indian citizen. Shri Abdul Khaddar, Sub Inspector, Shirva Police Station shared many information towards road safety.
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, delivered his message and briefed about the program on the occasion. Institutional NSS/YRC/RC Coordinator Mr Kishor Kumar Aroor and other departmental coordinators, Heads and a few interested faculty members from various departments, many staff members of Shirva Police station and all the office bearers of NSS/YRC and RC were present on the occasion.
