A two days workshop on “Project based Arduino Board” was held on 25th and 26th October, 2016 at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal in association with Board of IT Education Standards (BITES), Government of Karnataka and ISTE students chapter of the institute. Experts from Tenet Techetronics, Bengaluru trained about 60 students on various aspects of Internet of things related projects and their implementation using Arduino board.
The workshop was inaugurated on 25th October, 2016 by Dr. Sujatha D N, Executive Director, BITES. She told that the workshop has been organized with an objective of connecting the institute situated in rural area to the industries based in Bengaluru. Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, Udupi presided over the function. Mr. Umashankar Shetty of Tenet Techetronics briefed about the content of the workshop. Prof. Thirumaleshwara Bhat expressed gratitude to the BITES for having organized the workshop at SMVITM and urged the students to get maximum benefit from the workshop. Prof. Vasudeva, HOD of CSE welcomed the gathering and Mr. Siju V Soman, faculty coordinator of ISTE Chapter proposed the vote of thanks.
