DESCRIPTION

The Robo Soccer is a team-based competition. You must create a robot that can play soccer/football/whatever you call it. Your team will compete against another team’s robot.

GENERAL RULES:
  • A team can have a maximum number of 4 members.
  • Team members can’t be from different colleges.
  • A team is allowed to play with only one robot.
  • In case the robot moves out of the arena, the robot will be placed at the previous point.
  • Touching the robot during the game will lead to negative points.
  • In case of a wired robot, the wire should remain slack and lifted throughout the race. It should not disturb the arena or the participants. If so then the team will be disqualified.
  • The unfair game may lead to disqualification of the team.
  • The robot should not damage the field. Damaging/harming the arena may lead to disqualification.
  • The decision of the Event Organizers shall be treated as final and binding on all and cannot be contested.
EVENT RULES:
  • The event will be timed and the side scoring the maximum goals within the playtime shall be declared the winner.
  • Each match will be of two rounds and each round will be of 3 minutes.
  • In case of tie-breaker, there will be the 3rd round of 2 minutes.
BOT SPECIFICATIONS:
  • The robot can be up to 30x30x30 cm in dimension.
  • Maximum weight: 5 kg
  • Kicking devices are permitted.
  • The robot can be controlled by wired/wireless mechanisms. (Preferably wireless) If the robot is controlled by wireless mechanisms, the robot must have a frequency remote control circuit which could avoid frequency interference with other teams.
FIELD SPECIFICATION:
  • The floor of the arena is smooth with no obstacles.
  • The goal post will be of 40cm wide.
  • The walls of the goal are 20mm thick and are anchored securely to the surface.
  • Cosco tennis ball will be used(2.7inch, 6cm).
  • The organization will provide a standard 230 volts 50Hz A.C power supply. Any other extension cords, adapters, eliminators etc must be arranged by the participants themselves.
