\"\"The sixth Annual Sports Meet of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal was held on 13 Feb.2016.<\/p>\n

Dr. Suman D.P., Assistant Superintendent of Police,Karkala, was the chief guestat the inaugural function held in the morning. Inaugurating the event, Dr. Suman said that the physical exercise, sports and games are must for one\u2019s overall development.It is more usefulif students spare a hour for exercise or sports for excelling academics. It is this reason for which physical activities are made compulsory in police training. He also gave away prizes to the winners in the sports competitionsfor the staff, which had been held earlier, on the occasion.<\/p>\n

Mr. Ratnakumar, Secretary of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust (SSVMET), Udupi, presided over the inaugural function<\/p>\n

Mr. Sachin, Sports Secretary of the Student Council administered the oath to the participants. Mr. Deviprasad Shetty, President of the Student Council welcomed the gathering and Ms. Shreeraksha Shetty introduced the chief guest. Mr. Anvitha K. proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal; Prof. Ganesha A, Dean (Academics)and Mr. Prashanth M.D., Assistant Physical Education Director were present.<\/p>\n

The inaugural\u00a0 program was followed by different athletic meets organized by Physical education department, for the students. All the athletes participated sportively. The program came to a close by 5.30 pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
