Community\u00a0Club of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management and\u00a0<\/strong>Rotary Shankerpura jointly organized orientation\u00a0<\/strong>program for SSLC students on 21\/1\/2014 in\u00a0<\/strong>seminar hall of the institution.<\/strong> The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Dr. Leslie D\u2019Souza\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0lighting the lamp. In his inaugural address he inspired students by his enlightening words.\u00a0<\/strong>Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna.\u00a0<\/strong>S.<\/strong>Aithal, Principal, SMVITM, Bantakal advised the\u00a0<\/strong>students to channelize their efforts in exams and lead towards success.\u00a0<\/strong>Around 180 <\/strong>students from nearby schools like SVH High School, Innanje; SVH PU\u00a0<\/strong>College,\u00a0<\/strong>Innanje; St. John\u2019s High School, \"DSC05002\"<\/a>Shankerpura; St. John\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>Academy, Shankerpura and\u00a0<\/strong>Vidhyavardhaka High School, Pangala attended\u00a0<\/strong>the program.\u00a0<\/strong>The morning session began with\u00a0resource person\u00a0<\/strong>Sri Ashok Kamath, KES, Education\u00a0<\/strong>Officer DDPI, Udupi dist, Manipal.<\/strong>\u00a0He\u00a0explained\u00a0how to prepare for exams and about the\u00a0<\/strong>different\u00a0<\/strong>exam phases.<\/strong>\u00a0Later in the same session another\u00a0resource person Sri Rajendra\u00a0<\/strong>Bhat,\u00a0<\/strong>JCI national trainer, motivated the students with his\u00a0<\/strong>inspiring words. He guided the students\u00a0<\/strong>to make use of the valuable key points\u00a0<\/strong>like how to study with smart work, effective \u00a0<\/strong>time\u00a0<\/strong>management, emotional reading, etc. He also asked the students to think positively and to\u00a0<\/strong>study based on the activity and to have\u00a0<\/strong>self confidence. He also suggested group studying, and\u00a0<\/strong>wished them luck.\u00a0<\/strong>The afternoon session was continued by\u00a0Prof. Balakrishna Maddodi,\u00a0<\/strong>Assistant Professor,\u00a0<\/strong>MIT, Manipal. He inspired the students by motivating words about future planning based on\u00a0<\/strong>student decision\u00a0<\/strong>making to reach their goals. And he also said the students to identify the\u00a0<\/strong>domain of study that may suit their skills and preferences.\u00a0<\/strong>Sri\u00a0<\/strong>Pundarikaksha Kodancha, Lecturer at SVH PU College<\/strong>\u00a0engaged the second half of the\u00a0afternoon session.\u00a0He advised the students to improve\u00a0<\/strong>focus and he said fear of failure is one of\u00a0<\/strong>the main reasons for poor concentration.\u00a0<\/strong>In the beginning of program,\u00a0Rtr. Adheesh Shetty read the Rotaract prayer.<\/strong>\u00a0Rotaract\u00a0<\/strong>club President Rtr. Rahul V. Kotian welcomed the\u00a0<\/strong>guests & the gathering. Rotary Shankerpura\u00a0<\/strong>President Rtn. Denzil Castelino in his proposal speech explained purpose of orientation\u00a0<\/strong>program\u00a0<\/strong>for SSLC students. At the end Rotary Shankerpura Secretary Rtn. Francis D\u2019Sa delivered the vote\u00a0<\/strong>of thanks.\u00a0<\/strong>The Program was compeered by\u00a0Rtr.
