His Holiness Shri Vishwavallabha Thirtha Swamiji,<\/span><\/strong> the Chairman of the Governing Council\u00a0of SMVITM & the President of Shri\u00a0<\/strong>Sode Vadiraja\u00a0<\/strong>Mutt\u00a0Education Trust made a visit to the\u00a0Institute on 20 Jan.2014.<\/strong> He was received at the campus entrance by the\u00a0Principal, Deans and\u00a0Heads of the\u00a0Departments. Accompanied by a chendai ensemble of SMVITM students, Swamiji\u00a0was taken to the seminar hall at \u00a0the Admin Block, where\u00a0His Holiness\u00a0<\/strong>interacted with the\u00a0faculty & staff.\u00a0<\/strong>During a very short speech\u00a0addressed to the faculty and staff,\u00a0<\/strong>His Holiness\"unnamed\"<\/a> said\u00a0that he would do everything possible\u00a0<\/strong>to see SMVITM\u00a0<\/strong>emerge as the best institution not only\u00a0in the region but in\u00a0<\/strong>the state and the country also.<\/strong>\u00a0Principal Prof. Dr. Radhakrishna\u00a0<\/strong>S.\u00a0<\/strong>Aithal\u00a0<\/strong>presented a\u00a0brief account of the progress the Institute had\u00a0<\/strong>made over the short period since its\u00a0inception and expressed his gratitude\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0support it offered in making SMVITM \u201cneighbour\u2019s envy but owner\u2019s<\/strong>to the\u00a0<\/strong>Management for the whole hearted cooperation\u00a0<\/strong>pride.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0Shri.<\/strong>Ratnakumar,\u00a0Secretary, SSVMET<\/strong>\u00a0who\u00a0accompanied the Swamiji\u00a0said that the Management would leave\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0no\u00a0stones unturned to make SMVITM the most\u00a0<\/strong>sought after\u00a0<\/strong>destination\u00a0<\/strong>of students and a centre of\u00a0excellence in technical education in the region in the near future.<\/strong>\u00a0Later,\u00a0Swamiji,\u00a0<\/strong>accompanied\u00a0by\u00a0<\/strong>the\u00a0<\/strong>Principal, Deans and HOD\u2019s, visited the various departments. He stayed on until he saw\u00a0every section of\u00a0<\/strong>various departments and\u00a0<\/strong>made himself\u00a0<\/strong>informed of all the major academic and\u00a0non academic activities at the Institute and\u00a0<\/strong>expressed his satisfaction over the\u00a0<\/strong>rapid but steady\u00a0progress the\u00a0<\/strong>Institute had made.<\/strong><\/p>\n
