The NSS\u2013YRC Unit of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management has successfully conducted its annual E-waste collection drive for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability, responsible waste management, and social awareness.<\/p>\n
The initiative marked a significant milestone for the NSS\u2013YRC unit, which has now collectively gathered more than 500 kilograms of electronic waste across both years of the campaign. The collected E-waste was responsibly handed over to an authorized recycling agency to ensure safe, environmentally responsible, and eco-friendly disposal practices.<\/p>\n
The drive was organized with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful environmental and health impacts of improper electronic waste disposal while encouraging students, staff, and the community to adopt sustainable recycling habits. Through the initiative, participants were sensitized to the growing challenge of electronic waste accumulation and the importance of responsible disposal methods.<\/p>\n
