\"\"The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the Alumni Cell and Institution\u2019s Innovation Council, organized an alumnus talk on \u201cIntroduction to Basics of FEA along with CFD Approach\u201d on 31 March 2026 at the Mechanical Engineering Block.<\/p>\n

The session was delivered by Mr. Anshuman, an alumnus of the 2020\u20132024 batch and currently a PG Scholar at the School of Mechanical Engineering, MIT Manipal. The talk was coordinated by Mr. Aditya Kudva S and Dr. Bharath K Bhat.<\/p>\n

The session introduced students to the fundamental concepts of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), focusing on key aspects such as discretization, meshing, boundary conditions, and simulation techniques. The speaker also explained fluid flow behavior, governing equations, and how numerical methods are applied to solve structural and fluid-related engineering problems.<\/p>\n

Practical insights were shared through real-world applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing. The integration of FEA and CFD for solving complex engineering challenges was highlighted, along with an overview of simulation tools like ANSYS.<\/p>\n

Around 50 students from 2nd and 3rd year Mechanical Engineering participated in the session and gained valuable exposure to modern engineering analysis techniques.<\/p>\n

The session provided a strong foundation in simulation-based problem solving and emphasized the importance of these tools in contemporary engineering design.<\/p>\n
