Kotian, third-year Computer Science and Engineering students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, participated and secured Second Place in the GreenMind Hackathon 2025, held at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT), Bengaluru, from 13 to 15 November 2025.<\/p>\n

The team presented \u201cAreca Harvester\u201d, an AI-powered sustainable agri-tech solution designed to detect ripe arecanuts. Participation in the GreenMind Hackathon provided the students with valuable exposure to real-world problem-solving, expert technical feedback, and a highly competitive innovation ecosystem. The achievement marks a proud milestone for the institution and the student team.<\/p>\n
