\"\"The inaugural ceremony of \u201cVijnana Vismaya \u2013 Community Radio Program, Season 1\u201d was held on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal.<\/p>\n

Dr. Rashmi Ammembala, Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Radio Manipal (CRS), Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE, Manipal, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.<\/p>\n

In her inaugural address, Dr. Rashmi Ammembala emphasized the role of community participation and inclusivity in communication. She highlighted that community radio acts as a vital medium connecting people, knowledge, and culture\u2014empowering local voices to express ideas and spread social awareness. She encouraged students to explore creative communication platforms and to engage meaningfully with the community through innovative initiatives.<\/p>\n

The event was presided over by Dr. Nagaraj Bhat, In-charge Principal and Dean (Academics), SMVITM. In his presidential remarks, Dr. Bhat appreciated the institute\u2019s initiative in launching a community radio-based learning program and commended the efforts of faculty coordinators and students in conceptualizing Vijnana Vismaya. He remarked that such programs enhance communication skills, confidence, and social responsibility among students.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Megha Rani, Assistant Professor (Senior), Department of AI & ML and Coordinator, Women Empowerment Cell (WEC); Mr. Sachin Prabhu, Assistant Professor (Selection Grade), Department of ECE and Coordinator, NSS\/YR, along with faculty members and students from various departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
