The Aikya Club, in collaboration with ISTE and IEEE, organized a peer learning session titled \u201cPrep2Hack: A Road to Hackathon\u201d for second-year Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI & ML) students of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, on 28 October 2025.<\/p>\n
The interactive session was led by third-year students \u2014 Ms. Aditi, Mr. Chethan U. M., Ms. Chethan V. Kotian, Mr. Poornananda, and Mr. Shivam \u2014 who shared valuable insights and first-hand experiences on participating in hackathons.<\/p>\n
The workshop focused on familiarizing students with hackathon structure, preparation strategies, and execution phases, helping them understand how to ideate, collaborate, and present solutions effectively. Dr. Mamatha I, Head of the Department of AI & ML, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in building practical skills and teamwork among students.<\/p>\n
Key platforms such as Devpost, HackerEarth, and GitHub were introduced to help participants explore upcoming hackathons and develop collaborative coding skills. The event concluded with a Q&A session, where students received personalized guidance from the speakers.<\/p>\n
