The ISTE Student Chapter of SMVITM, Bantakal, in association with IEEE has organized a vibrant celebration of Engineer\u2019s Day at SMVITM on September 16, 2025, in honour of the birth\nanniversary of one of India\u2019s greatest visionaries, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. The program commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Guru Charan Bulusu, Principal Software Engineer –
\nMicrosoft, Bengaluru. In his inspiring address, Mr. Guru Charan Bulusu paid tribute to the immense contributions of Sir M.V. Visvesvaraya to the nation. In his speech, he inspired students to embrace creativity, life skills, and broader vision beyond textbooks. Concluding his speech, he advised the aspiring engineers to channel their collective efforts to achieve success and, in today\u2019s
\nfiercely competitive world, strive to exceed expectations and seize every opportunity. Dr. Radhakrishna S Aithal, CEO of Sode Group of Institutions, delivered the presidential address, where he offered insightful advice to the students. He encouraged them to focus on learning engineering rather than merely studying it, emphasizing the importance of deep understanding over rote learning. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal of SMVITM, emphasized the core values that Sir Visvesvaraya embodied throughout his life\u2014discipline, sincerity, and
\ntime management. He urged the students to adopt these qualities as guiding principles in their personal and professional lives.
\nDuring the program, the prizes were distributed to the winners of the various events organized.
