First phase of a one day Staff Development Program on “<\/span>Software Installation, Upgradation and Troubleshooting<\/b>” was held on September 9, 2024 organized by department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with\u00a0 ISTE faculty and student chapter for the Lab instructors and Lab technicians of SMVITM.\u00a0 Mr. Trivikram Rao, Retd. System Executive – MAHE Health Science and Proprietor of Sys-Tech Computers, Manipal was the\u00a0 distinguished resource person for the event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Rao shed light on various aspects of system and application software installation mechanisms. He commenced the session by providing a comprehensive overview on Operating System and dual booting process. He gave the practical insights on checking up of motherboard, Windows OS to Linux OS booting, identification and troubleshooting of bugs and minor hardware repair mechanisms.<\/span><\/p>\n

A fruitful interactive hands on session was conducted from 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM at CAED Lab of admin block.<\/span><\/p>\n
