\"\"A highly impactful E-Waste Collection Drive was organized by NSS-YRC Unit of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology, Bantakal at College Campus on 23\/11\/2024 to 10\/12\/2024, aiming to promote responsible e-waste disposal and environmental sustainability. The drive witnessed an overwhelming response from Faculty,staff and students, with over about 300 kilograms of electronic waste, including old mobile phones, laptops, chargers, and other gadgets, collected during the event. The e-waste will be handed over to certified recycling agencies for environmentally safe processing. Dr.Tirumaleshwar Bhat, Principal inaugurated the drive and emphasized the importance of proper e-waste management in combating pollution and conserving natural resources. The event also featured awareness sessions on e-waste hazards, encouraging participants to adopt sustainable practices. \u201cE-waste poses a significant environmental threat if not managed correctly. This initiative aims to create awareness and provide a platform for responsible disposal,\u201d said Mr.Sachin Prabhu K, NSS Institutional coordinator. The drive was supported by volunteers from NSS-YRC unit Mr.Satvik Bhat,Ms.Annapoorna,Ms.Vishrutha,Mr.Arjun and others who played a vital role in
\nspreading the message and assisting with the collection. Participants expressed satisfaction at being part of a cause contributing to a greener future.
