\"\" Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with ISTE Student Chapter has organised an invited talk on the topic \u201cNon Destructive Testing\u201d on 16-12-2022 at 11:30 am in Seminar Hall (Admin Block). Mr. B. S. Venkatasubramanian, ASNT NDT Level III, Training and Certification Superintendent, V&G Industrial Testing Laboratories Pvt Ltd, Mangalore was the resource person. This program was specifically designed in order to provide a special insight regarding Non destructive Testing, its general applications and career opportunities in the same.
\nThe program include demonstrations and experimentations using different techniques of NDT and informative case studies Mr.B. S. Venkatasubramanian addressed the participants with valuable information on Non Destructive Testing, general application and career opportunities, challenges, technologies in the NDT field. He demonstrated different techniques of NDT with real-life examples and case studies.<\/p>\n

The theories of Visual testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography testing, Dye Penetrant Testing, Magnetic particle\"\" method and many more were explained in detail. In the second phase during the Q & A session, queries from students were considered and answered in a very convenient way.
