They selected around 800 meters stretch of the beach and collected heap of non-biodegradable items, footwears, glass bottles, plastics, food wrappers and polythene bags. Subsequently, the waste was segregated and disposed properly. The beach cleanups help to raise awareness around plastic pollution and the current impacts of plastic on our environment. Clean beaches are essential to healthy coastal habitats and the wellbeing of people who visit them. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, SMVITM, Bantakal, Dr.Ganesh Aithal Vice Principal conveyed their best wishes to the program.
