The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management organized a technical talk on \u201cCloud Computing, Micro services and Docker containers\u201d through virtual mode on 23 July 2021. Prof. Dr. Christina Terese Jospeh, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIIT-Kottayam, Kerala was the resource person. This talk was arranged as the valedictory function of 30 hours Value added course on \u2019Computer Vision\u2019 by Dr. Sachin S Bhat, Dept. of ECE.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Christina began the presentation by providing a brief history of Cloud Computing and its applications in current word. Dr. Joseph stressed the importance of Cloud in the era of work from home as it gives access to all of the features and files of the system without having to keep all the files in one computer. People use cloud computing services everyday without even recognizing their features. Facebook, Instagram, Gmail and even Google Drive are all cloud based applications. All your personal data is stored in the cloud hosted the server for later access.\u00a0<\/span>Dr. Sachin S Bhat hosted the program.
