The Program was jointly organized by the Institution\u2019s Innovation Council (IIC), Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the institute in association with VTPC, Department of Industries &amp; Commerce, Government of Karnataka, Bengaluru.<\/p>\n<p>The resource person Ms. Prabhavathi Rao, Facilitator &#8211; Intellectual Property Initiatives, VTPC, Department of Industries &amp; Commerce, Government of Karnataka briefed about Geographic Indication and Opportunities from the GOK Centre for Export promotion with focus on Geographical Indications tagged products as a key IP tool.<\/p>\n<p>Another resource person Ms. Bindu Sharma, Founder &amp; CEO, Origin IP Solutions LLP highlighted on types of patent, need for filing the patent by the academicians. Ms. Bindu also briefed about how to file a patent on the innovative product developed by an individual person<\/p>\n<p>The faculties and students participated in large numbers and interacted with the resource person.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sudharshan Rao, Dean (Quality Assurance), faculty members and students were present during the session<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Usha H, introduced the resource person, Mr. Arun Upadhyaya, Convener of Institution\u2019s Innovation Council proposed vote of thanks at the end of the program.
