During his welcome address, he described the need of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for higher education institutes.<\/p>\n<p>The resource person, Dr. Suresha S N, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, NITK Surathkal, had explained the performance of the engineering colleges of Karnataka state in the NIRF 2020. He mentioned the parametric wise score of few institutions in Karnataka state. He highlighted the maximum and minimum score for each metric.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Suresha, had also briefed about the five parameters of NIRF ranking, Teaching Learning &amp; Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Peer Perception (PP).
