\"\"<\/a>ISTE Faculty Chapter of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management in association with Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre Department of Industries & Commerce organized One Day Workshop on the \u201cSignificance of Intellectual Property Rights for Entrepreneurs and Academia\u201d on 6 September, 2019 in the college campus. Dr. S Rama Murthy, Senior Advisor, Origin IP Solutions, Bengaluru, Dr.Sarasija Padmanabhan, Senior Patent Search Specialist, Bengaluru and Shri B Vivek Anand Sagar, IP Attorney and Consultant, Patent Information Centre, (KSCST) IISC, Bengaluru, were the resource persons for this half day workshop. The resource persons clearly explained the various factors related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Patent, Prior Art search, Research Ethics, copyrights and the relevance of these aspects in education field.<\/p>\n

Principal of the college Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat gave the introductory remark and highlighted the need of such workshop for academicians. The workshop was organized with a focus into the areas of IPR, Patent, research and copyright for the benefit of the faculty members of the college and to inculcate the culture of patenting ones idea in the domain of their research area. The Vice Principal Dr. Ganesh Aithal, HoD\u2019s of various department and Faculty members of the college were present for the workshop.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sudharshan Rao K, Head Department of Mechanical coordinated the event and Ms. Ramyashree from Dept. of Computer Science compeered the program; Dr. Vasudeva Head, Department of Computer Science thanked the Guest and felicitated the speakers with a memento.<\/p>\n
