Mechanical Engineering department under ED Cell and\u00a0 ISTE Students Chapter organized an Industrial visit to Udupi Power Corporation Ltd. (UPCL) on 17-03-2014.<\/p>\n
Final year students (33) of Mechanical Engineering accompanied by Prof. Vivekananda B Huddar, HOD Mechanical Engineering department, Mr. Aditya Kudva and Mr. Ambareesh Kishore participated in the visit.<\/p>\n
A brief theoretical session regarding the description of working of the power plant was conducted by assistant engineer of UPCL. The theoretical session was followed by the plant visit.<\/p>\n
Observations<\/strong>: Coal storage and conveying unit, coal pulverizing unit, boiler unit, steam turbine and generator unit, cooling tower unit and the controlling unit of the power plant.<\/p>\n The team had an informative and interactive session with the power plant officials.
