\"\"The National Service Scheme (NSS), Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Rotaract Clubs Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, celebrated \u201cWorld Health day\u201d on 07 April 2017 with a theme \u201cDepression:Let\u2019s Talk\u201d<\/strong> at the institute premises.<\/p>\n

The resource person for the program was Dr. Virupaksha Devaramane, Psychiatrist, Dr. A. V. Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi who delivered a talk on the theme. In his talk he mentioned that there is no age limit to get depression, stress and mental illness. He discussed the various reasons for getting depressed and explained people with such problems can be treated properly by taking them into confidence, listening to their problems with at most patience. Also he mentioned about the different treatments available for the problems mentioned above.<\/p>\n

Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal; Mr. Nagaraja Rao, NSS Co-ordinator; HODs and Section heads of various departments, faculty, staff and students were present during the session and availed the benefit from the programme.
