Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management organized a two weeks Faculty Development Program (FDP) named \u201cTransforming from a Responsible Manager to a successful Entrepreneur\u201d from Monday 12 December 2016 to 24 December 2016 at the institution premises.<\/p>\n
Sri Ramananda Nayak, Joint Director, District Industries Center, Udupi District was the chief guest for the inaugural function and Sri S. B. Revenkar, former Director of STEP, NITK was the guest of honor for the event. The event was presided by Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary, and Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust.<\/p>\n
In his inaugural address Sri Ramananda Nayak appreciated the effort of the college in organizing such a useful program for the benefit of the faculties. He also gave an overview on the role of banking sector in the development of small scale industries and about the various policies taken up by the state and central government in upbringing the budding industries. He also advised the colleges to take up measures in molding the local youth with the skills required by the nearby industries.<\/p>\n
Sri Revankar insisted in his speech on the need of such Programs and why faculties should focus on developing the entrepreneur skills of the students.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal gave a prelude of the two week FDP. He said that the FDP will comprise of 25 sessions from various industrial experts and Government organizations like MSME, EDII, and DEC Udupi. As a part of the program one day industrial visit is organized to UPCL to practically visualize the industrial setup in the costal Karnataka.<\/p>\n
Coordinator of the FDP Mr. Anand V. R welcomed the Gathering and vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Arun Upadhyaya; Ms. Sushmitha rendered the invocation, Mr. Ramachandra B N and Ms. Nishitha D\u2019souza introduced the guests. Ms. Reshma Hebbar compeered the program.<\/p>\n
The program was sponsored by EDII, Ahmedabad; STEP \u2013 NITK, Surathkal; NSTEDB, DST and Adani \u2013 UPCL, Yelluru.<\/p>\n

The two weeks Faculty Development Program (FDP) named \u201cTransforming from a Responsible Manager to a successful Entrepreneur\u201d at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology Management was concluded with a valedictory function on 24 December 2016 at the institution premises.<\/p>\n
Sri Kishore Alva, Joint Director, Adani Udupi Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) was the Chief Guest of the function. The event was presided by Sri Rathnakumar, Secretary of Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust.<\/p>\n
In his brief address Sri Kishore Alva appreciated the effort of the college in organizing such a useful program and concluded saying \u201cwilling to take risk\u201d and \u201cgood decision making ability\u201d are the key point to become a successful entrepreneur. He assured to provide scholarship to the meritorious students from Adani foundation and also provide internship opportunities to the students.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal spoke on the occasion and thanked all the participants for being part of the program and wished all the faculties will share the knowledge gained with the students of their respective institution.<\/p>\n
Few participants shared the fruitful experience they had by attending the workshop and the certificate of participation was handed over to them by the chief guest Sri. Kishore Alva.<\/p>\n
