ISTE Student Chapter, in association with the department of Mechanical Engineering, conducted a Technical talk on \u201cUnmanned Aerial Vehicle\u201d, on 26th<\/sup> February 2016 in the college premises. Dr Pruthviraj U NITK Surathkal, was the resource person. All Pre-final year Mechanical Engineering students attended the talk and interacted with the resource person.<\/p>\n

Dr Pruthviraj U highlighted the role of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle in Tiger saving, Agricultural field, Thermal behavior in IC Engine, Building construction, and many others. \u00a0He explained the components and method of fabrication of UAV System with less cost and better performance. He also mentioned the essential design tools for the designing of UAV model. The talk provided the students a platform for sharing their thoughts regarding Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System and also about the critical issues regarding the selection of suitable components and tools for their projects, and were provided with proper guidance regarding all these aspects.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Prof. Dr. Sudarshan Rao, HOD Mechanical Department of SMVITM, welcomed the resource person with a flower bouquet. At the end of the session Prof. Dr. Sudarshan Rao, HOD Mechanical Department, presented a memento to the speaker.
