History of the Institution

Udupi is a coastal city in Karnataka, renowned for the temple of Lord Krishna. Our institution is located in the rural area of Innanje and serves the surrounding communities.

Shri Sode Vadiraj Mutt has long supported education in this region, helping thousands of students. His Holiness Shri Vishwendra Theertha Swamiji envisioned providing quality education to financially disadvantaged rural families and established a residential school in Innanje during the pre-independence era.

The school, originally named Shri Vishnumoorthi Hayavadanaswami Kannada Medium High School, was established on 04 June 1943. The institution later grew under the leadership of His Holiness Vishwottama Theertha Swamiji, who expanded its scope and facilities.

Currently, the Kannada Medium section serves approximately 135 students from primary through high school. The school provides free education and operates with government recognition and support. The management team includes Shri Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji, Sri Shrinivasa Thantry (Correspondent), Sri Rathnakumar (Secretary), and Dr. Radhakrishna S. Aithal (CEO).
