An engineer is a professional practitioner responsible for applying scientific and mathematical knowledge to design and develop products/facilities/services that would make the lives of people more comfortable and thereby improve the overall well-being of society.
It is estimated that more than 1.5 million engineering graduates are leaving the portals of about 3300 engineering colleges in our country every year. When one thinks of these statistics, some very pertinent questions that arise in one’s mind could be: havethese graduates have received quality engineering education? Are they employable? Are they able to apply their knowledge to find solutions for real-world problems? There is no doubt that, despite a few rotten apples, many engineering colleges provide quality technical education and they train the students in such a way that at the end of their graduation, the students are employable and either they find their way to the industry or serve the society as independent entrepreneurs.
I am proud to say that SMVITM is an institution born out of a noble vision, where quality technical education combined with moral and ethical values is imparted to the students at affordable costs. I can assure every student and parent with conviction that the management, faculty and staff of this institution are committed to the cause of quality engineering education with employability skills and it has been imparted to the students ever since the inception of SMVITM.
Let me congratulate the students and parents on keeping faith in SMVITM and I am sure that they would feel proud that they have made the right choice by selecting SMVITM as their destination for pursuing their dream career. In this context, it is my appeal to the parents to monitor the performance of their wards and encourage them to explore their full potential. They may also keep in mind that learning beyond the syllabus really helpsthe students to improve their technical knowledge and employability skills. I am confident that with the divine blessings of Lord Shri Krishna and the founder of our institute, H. H. Shri Vishwa Vallabha Theertha Swamiji, our students will excel in their studies and become proud ambassadors of SMVITM.
